Mr. James Edward Gholston passed away Sunday at WellStar West Georgia Hospice.

He was born March 6, 1933 in Harris County, Georgia to Mr. Tommie and Mrs. Julia Daniel Gholston.

Survivors include his five children:  Jan and Chuck Singleton, Fairburn, Georgia; Janice and Terry Stinson, Hogansville, Georgia; James “Bro” and Andrea Gholston, Columbus, Georgia; Ken and Christine Gholston, LaGrange, Georgia; Angela and Chuck Laye, LaGrange, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; brother, Mr. Virgil Gholston, Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters-in-law:  Ruby Peterson, Barbara White, both of LaGrange, Georgia; Maude Kelly, New York; three brothers-in-law:  Render Ward, LaGrange, Georgia; Nathaniel Brewer, Jacksonville, Florida; Leon Brewer, LaGrange, Georgia; and a host of great grandchildren, uncles, aunts cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. The service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Lakes-Dunson-Robertson.
