Bernice  Darling, 73 of Brenda Boulevard departed on Monday at Florence Hand Home.         

Bernice Scott Darling, the daughter of the late George and Ruth Scott, was born in LaGrange.

Bernice was an active graduate of the East Depot High School Class of 1965; a Cheerleader and a member of the Drama Club.

She became known as the famous “ Mother Nature” due to her creative talent in fashion design and a master seamstress.

Bernice was employed with Milliken for many years and later opened her own fashion boutique.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving son Kelvin Thornton of LaGrange; sisters Glenda (Charles)McCaskey and Nanette Scott Jones all of LaGrange, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her late husband.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, at 1 p.m. at Southview Cemetery with the Minister Mildred Jackson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister Glenda McCaskey at Whispering Pines.
