Two bodies were recovered from West Point Lake earlier this week, and law enforcement is still investigating what led to their deaths.

The victims were identified as Marcus Lee Caswell, 46, and Travis Michael Lodato, 31. Both were from Newnan and were killed via gunshot wounds.

Obviously, this was a very disturbing story to report. The first body was found Monday, and a second was found on Tuesday. The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is still working on what occurred and why the men were shot.

We encourage anyone with information to come forward.

We’re sure that someone out there knows something about the events that led to these shootings, and the families and the victims deserve justice.
