The LaGrange Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the A.K. Food Mart Tuesday night.

Around 10 p.m. Tuesdaynight, officers from the LPD responded to 801 Whitesville Street, A.K. Food Mart, in reference to an armed robbery.

Officers made contact with the victim who described the suspect as a black male wearing all black with a ski mask. The suspect allegedly entered the store and took an undisclosed amount of money at gunpoint from the victim, per a press release from the LPD. The suspect then fled the area.

The Criminal Investigations Section of the LPD have begun an investigation into the incident.
