COVID cases continue to go down in school system

The Troup County School System once again reported lower COVID-19 cases among students and staff on Friday.
The school system reported that a total of 93 students, or 0.764% of the system’s student population, had a positive case of COVID-19, which is 40 cases less than the 133 in last Friday’s report. There are 330 students, or 2.709%, of the system’s student population, who are in quarantine due to possible exposure.
The system has a total of 12,180 students.
Last Friday, there were 413 students in quarantine. Ten employees had a positive case of COVID-19 and four were in quarantine due to possible exposure. There are 14 employees with extended quarantine time.
