Elizabeth Charlene Braik Stone, 75 of Lagrange, passed away on Oct. 22, 2021.

She was born on Aug.15, 1946, to the late Kenneth Roy Braik and Adeline Naomi Bledsoe Braik in Miami, Florida.

Charlene graduated from Miami Jackson High School in 1964.

She loved to travel and it was her passion. She especially loved the national parks and tried to visit as many as possible. Her adventurous spirit often took her on cruises and to visits to other counties, especially Germany where she fell in love with the people and learned the language fluently.

Life brought her to live in Connecticut, then on to California, her favorite state. She came back to Georgia where she changed careers and attended Lagrange College, earning an RN degree. She went on to work at West Georgia Medical Center as an operating room nurse until she retired.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Braik Jorgensen; brother, Edwin Allan Braik and his wife Donna; nephews, Kenneth J. Jorgensen, Allan Grayson Braik: nieces, Ashley Jorgensen Reeves, Krysten Jorgensen and Susan Braik Taunton: great-nieces and nephews.
