Ms. Chavany Copeland Murphy passed away Thursday.

She was born Sept. 24, 1973, to Jarvis Copeland Green and Larry Ransom in LaGrange, Georgia. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Atlanta; graduated from Washington High School and Savannah Tech.

Survivors include her parents, Jarvis Copeland Green and Larry Ransom; her loving children:  Shovandria Clay, LaGrange, Georgia; Wylene Copeland (John) Brown and Nevada Turner, Huntsville, Alabama; NeVana Copeland (Thaddius) Booker, West Point, Georgia; Tayrus Murphy and Terrell Murphy of Savannah, Georgia; several grandchildren; her siblings:  Thibany Geral (LaLonza) Copeland, LaGrange, Georgia; Wilhelmena Mack, Khalila Ransom, Monita Ransom, all of Atlanta, Georgia; Shandria Stone, Decatur, Georgia; aunts:  Margaret Malone and Jean Yancey, LaGrange, Georgia; seven additional aunts and uncles; step parents:  Benjamin Green, Bobby Robinson, and Brenda Powell; great grandmother, Rebecca Green, Savannah, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

The Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
