City to hold next litter pickup at St. Marks

The City of LaGrange will host its next monthly litter cleanup event Saturday, Dec. 4, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of the St. Mark’s E, 207 N. Greenwood St.
The group will be picking up litter along the first segment of The Thread as well as N. Greenwood St. and the surrounding area.
Free coffee and donuts will be provided from Local Groundz starting at 7:30 a.m.
This is a family-friendly event that is free and open to the public.
The city will provide the vests, trash bags, and gloves.
Monthly pickups will continue through April 2022:
- January – Saturday, Jan. 8 from 8-10 a.m. at the location of the new city park under construction near Hamilton Rd. and Brown St. Volunteers will meet in the parking lot at 118 Brown St.. (LaGrange Fire Department, partner)
- February – Saturday, February 5, 8-10 a.m. at the LaGrange Fire Department’s headquarters, 115 Hill Street. (LaGrange Fire Department, partner)
- March – Saturday, March 5, 8-10 a.m. at Piggly Wiggly parking lot, 505 S. Greenwood St. (LaGrange Fire Department, partner)
- April – Friday, April 22, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. City employees to pick up litter throughout the community
