Mr. W.L. Cooley, of LaGrange, passed away on Dec. 16, 2021. 

W.L. was born on Dec.27, 1937 in LaGrange to the late John Caylor Cooley and Wordie Bell Richardson Cooley. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joye Dollar Cooley and a brother, Gene Cooley. 

He was the Owner of Cooley’s Auto Salvage and was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church.  Survivors include his children, Paul Cooley (Rita), Janet Turner (Wally), Brenda Arrington (Anthony) and Joseph Cooley (Anne); brother, Jerry Cooley (Darlene); grandchildren, Jessica McClendon (Heath), Michael Cooley (Stacey), Holly Rushing (Daniel), Lauren  Patton (Ryan), Brandon Arrington (Katherine Paist), Niki Peavy (Caleb), Morgan Beaird (Christopher) and Beau Cooley; great-grandchildren, Brynlee McClendon, Easton McClendon, Abi Long, Hunter Rushing, Hayes Patton, Hayden Patton, Jackson Peavy, Jax Peavy, Charli Peavy, Hattie Beaird and River Beaird; nieces, nephews and extended family. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec.19, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand.  Interment to follow at Meadoway Gardens. 

Family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. until service hour.
