Mr. Kenneth Cerel “Kenny” Mathis, 55, of West Point, passed away on Jan. 15, 2022. Mr. Mathis was born on July 22, 1966, in Chambers County, Alabama to the late David Mathis and Mary Lauderdale Mathis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandmother, Minda Pitts; special aunt, Glenda Pitts; father-in-law and mother in law, Billy Joe Williams and Louise Lamb Williams.
He worked as a Construction Supervisor for Benning Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Williams Mathis; children, Tiffany Duffee (Jake) and Nathan Farrow; brother, Steve Mathis (Becky); grandchildren, Cadyn Ray, Emmaleigh Duffee and Elly Kate Farrow; uncle, James Pitts; cousins, DeeDee Colley and J.J. Pitts; extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Gray Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Lehr officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. The service will be live streamed at www.higginslagrangechapel@yahoo.com.
