Carl Rachel, 74, of 105 Revis St., departed on Monday at Well Star West Georgia Medical Center.

  Mr. Carl Rachel the son of Martha(Polly) Rachel was born in LaGrange.

At an early age Carl joined Smryna Baptist Church and a graduate of East Depot Class of 1966. Carl was an entrepreneur and owner of R&R Construction Company until he retired.

Survivors includes; two sons; Demetrius Rachel of Fairburn, Georgia and Marcel Rachel of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his mother Martha(Polly) Rachel of LaGrange, two sisters; Priscilla (Lawrence) Small and Dorothy Turner of Decatur, Georgia; five grandchildren and two aunts Bobbie Cutwright of LaGrange and Mildred Rachel of Atlanta, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Meadoway Garden with the Rev. Lawrence Small officiating.

Chapel viewing will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m.

The family will receive friends at his home.
