Mrs. Nina Copeland passed away Friday at the age of 96.

She was born June 7, 1925, to the late Cornelius and Mattie Jennings McClendon. She united with the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Martha Carter, Irene Gates, Nin (Mark) Hairston, Fannie Copeland, and Marian Copeland; brothers:  David (Maxine) Copeland, Jerome (Elizabeth) Copeland, Curtis (Carrie) Copeland, Michael Copeland, and Travis Copeland; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home. The Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Southview Cemetery.
