Nonnie Elizabeth Lumpkin, 80, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Nonnie was born Oct. 17, 1941, in LaGrange, Georgia, daughter of the late John William Noles and Edna Ruth Brown Noles. She was a member of Teaver Road Baptist Church where she had been a member since 1976.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Eldridge E. Lumpkin, and sisters, Janice Ussery, Aggie Rearden, and Caroline Noles and a brother, Russell Noles.
Survivors include her children, Sandy Brown, Wade Lumpkin (Laura), Michael Smith (Mylynda), Dana Walker, Rhonda Horne (Max), and Bonnie Dobson (Eddie); 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Pam Davis, Shirley Fuller, and Joyce Looser; brother, J.W. Noles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, Georgia, with the Rev. Danny Geter officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 2-3 p.m.
