The proceeds from the event will go to the Kiwanis Club’s education endeavors in the form of its annual scholarship awards. The scholarships are granted to local deserving high school seniors each May, said Elia Baltes, the Kiwanis Club scholarship committee chair.
In 2021, The Kiwanis Club of LaGrange donated over $30,000 for scholarships and different local organizations. This year, Kiwanis Club will award scholarships to deserving high school seniors at Troup and Callaway High Schools.
“By providing sufficient scholarship assistance, we assure those students are successful in their college pursuit in their respected degree and plan to give back to society,” Baltes said.
