It’s a recipe that has worked for 25 years.

The Kiwanis Club of LaGrange will hold their 25th Annual Pancake Breakfast at the First Baptist Church on the Square this Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. Line up will begin at 6:45 a.m.

Participants will be greeted by fresh coffee, sausages and pancakes for $7 a plate.

Tickets for the pancake breakfast can be purchased from any Kiwanis Club member or the day of, at the door. Children seven-years-old or younger eat for free.

The proceeds from the event will go to the Kiwanis Club’s education endeavors in the form of its annual scholarship awards. The scholarships are granted to local deserving high school seniors each May, said Elia Baltes, the Kiwanis Club scholarship committee chair.

In 2021, The Kiwanis Club of LaGrange donated over $30,000 for scholarships and different local organizations. This year, Kiwanis Club will award scholarships to deserving high school seniors at Troup and Callaway High Schools.

“By providing sufficient scholarship assistance, we assure those students are successful in their college pursuit in their respected degree and plan to give back to society,” Baltes said.

As a special treat this year, Brett Whaley with Twisted Tales Balloons will provide balloons for guests from 8 to 10 a.m.

Piggly Wiggly, IHOP and Kimble’s are sponsors for this event.
