The Callaway boys soccer team got back in the win column Friday with a 10-0 victory over Haralson County after a disappointing loss to Bremen earlier in the week. The Cavaliers mercy ruled the Rebels in the 57th minute of the game.
Jostin Raymundo was the engine for the Cavaliers on the night as he played conductor and scorer. He led the team with a hat trick of goals and two assists. Raymundo got the scoring started when he buried a chance in the back of the net in the opening minute of the game.
Blake Eubanks also had a great night, chipping in two goals and an assist as well.
Greyson Batchelor, Connor Davis, Journee Jordan, Brett Belton and Caleb Matais all got on the score sheet with a goal apiece. Nelson Herrera and Eli Jones each contributed an assist as well.
Nitler Recinos and Byraden Morris had little to do in goal with the Rebels not even mustering a shot on goal that would require a save. The team kept their fourth clean sheet on the season.
The Cavaliers climbed to 8-1-1 overall and 1-1 in the region. Their next game is against region opponent Temple on Tuesday March 8.
