ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Records fell as LaGrange routed Warren Wilson 27-4 on Sunday. The Panthers are now 2-4, while the Owls remained winless at 0-5.
The Panthers set new program records for goals in a game, goals in a quarter (11, 2nd), and margin of victory. Freshman Aidan Story scored three goals and set individual game records with eight assists and 11 points.
Story was one of 12 Panthers to score in the game. Fellow freshman Peyton Gale led LC with four goals and had an assist. Ben Bryan and Ryan Comeau each had three goals. Michael Poteete added two goals, with Anthony Dalessandro, Will Howell, Michael St. John, Baylor Montoya, Sebastain Carazo, Jack Bryan, and Trip Floyd each with a goal.
LC led 6-1 after the first quarter. The Panthers broke the game open with the record second quarter for a 17-1 halftime lead and cruised in the second half.
The Panthers play Point on Wednesday at Panther Field. Game time is 7 p.m
