The Troup County boys soccer team eked out a 3-1 victory over Hardaway in extra time on Monday.
The game was tied 0-0 going into the break. Both teams grabbed a goal in the second half to send the game to extra time.
The Tigers offense sprung to live in the extra period as they scored two goals to seal the victory for the away side.
Chris Moore was the top man on the night as he scored two goals for the Tigers with Diego Marida grabbing the other goal on the night.
This was a big rebound win for the Tigers after the disappointing 4-0 loss to cross-town rivals LaGrange last week to snap their seven-game win streak.
The Tigers improve to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in region play. This is the best season Troup County has had since the 2016-2017 season as the Tigers only had seven wins over the last four seasons combined.
Troup County’s next game is against region foe Columbus on March 16 at Callaway Stadium.
