Sam Cottle leads Grangers girls soccer team to 27th minute mercy rule win

The LaGrange girls soccer team earned a 10-0 mercy rule victory in the 27th minute over Spencer.

The Grangers snapped a two-game losing skid with their sixth win of the season.

Sam Cottle led the way for the Grangers with four goals and two assists to earn woman of the match honors. She was outstanding all night leading the Grangers from her forward position.

Karley Perry also grabbed two goals with Ava Arrington, Maddi Gay and Adry Matias all grabbing a goal apiece. The infamous own goal gave the team 10 goals on the night.

Perry and Tatum Fritchley each had two assists each. Carlee Roland and Gay also had an assist on the evening.

The Grangers improved to 6-9 overall and 5-0 in region play. LaGrange plays a non-region game against Jordan on Friday in Callaway Stadium.
