Weekend Ticket: plenty to do in Troup County this weekend

Nothing but sunshine is expected in LaGrange this weekend, which makes it a perfect time to check out some of the many weekend events the area has to offer.

On Saturday at 2 p.m., the Hogansville Library will once again host its Pager Turner Bookclub. This free event allows readers to discuss their current reads in a group setting and share suggestions for future reads. Hogansville Library is located at 310 Johnson St.

Start your Easter decorating early by visiting Hills and Dales Estate on Saturday. Artists Alice Callaway will host a panoramic sugar egg decorating class at Hills and Dales at 10 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. The event is $35 a participant and includes supplies and refreshments. Point University Department of Fine Arts will present its faculty recital at the First Baptist Church in West Point, 804 E. 8th St. The free performance will feature Point Faculty member Andrew Harry, who will perform an evening of solo piano works.
