Mary Frances Hester was welcomed into heaven on April 22, 2022.

“Gammy,” as she was perfectly named by her grandchildren, will forever be remembered as a devoted follower of Christ, loving wife, prayerful mother and friend to all.

Mary Frances was married to the love of her life, Jimmie Morris Hester, for 58 years until his death last March. She was also preceded in death by her parents Dr. W. Vance Jackson and Mary Frances Gay Jackson  of LaGrange, Georgia, and her brother William Vance Jackson.

She and Jimmie had three children: Jim Hester of Leawood, Kansas (Nancy), Fran Camille of Hattiesburg, Mississippi (Chris) and Anne Sefton of Pike Road, Alabama, (Pat) and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Regina Jackson  Tillman of Athens, Georgia and Gay Jackson Henry (Waights) of Marietta, Georgia. 

Mary Frances also leaves a precious circle of friends whom she has partnered with in ministry for decades.

Her greatest legacy is that each of her children and grandchildren love the Lord and have each in their own way impacted lives for eternity.

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mary Frances will be held Saturday April 30 at 11 a.m. at her home at 180 Pine Tree Drive LaGrange, Georgia.
