LaGrange’s longest-running local farmer’s market will open on Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Local farmers and makers set up in the heart of downtown LaGrange on the sidewalks surrounding Flagpole Park and Main Street.
Customers visit weekly in search of locally grown produce, including tomatoes, lettuces, beans, peas, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, beets, potatoes, corn, blueberries, baked goods, jams, jellies, fried pork skins and live plants. The offerings change throughout the season as the crops are ready for harvest at different times. Since 2020, the market includes not only local growers but also local artisans of handmade or handcrafted items such as jewelry, soaps, candles, lotions, scrubs, bird feeders and wind chimes to Market on Main.
The last day of this summer market season will be August 27, 2022.
Applications are still being accepted for local growers and makers.
