Man facing charges for shooting at two

A man is facing several charges after allegedly shooting at two other men on Norwood Drive Thursday afternoon.
The suspect in the case, Kwesi Dowell, allegedly shot at the two male victims in the case after they attempted to recover a stolen vehicle, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.
At approximately 2 p.m., LPD officers responded to the 900 block of Norwood Drive in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Dowell, who advised that shots were fired between him and one of the victims over the stolen vehicle. However, through the investigation, officers determined Dowell pulled his firearm pointing it at the two victims, who retreated toward their vehicle. Dowell then began shooting at them, according to the press release.
No one was injured in this incident and warrants were obtained for Dowell for two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. As of Friday, Dowell had not been arrested.
