Applications open for LaGrange 101

The City of LaGrange is accepting applications for the 2022 Class of LaGrange 101.
According to a press release from the city of LaGrange, LaGrange 101 is a free class hosted by the city that gives local citizens an opportunity to experience the components of city government. The goal, as noted in the release, is to develop informed and involved citizens.
LaGrange 101 is a six-week class that will meet Monday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The first class will be Monday, Oct. 3. The final class will be Monday, Nov. 14.
Graduation from the class will take place at the LaGrange City Council meeting Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Applications for LaGrange 101 is Friday, September 16 at 5 p.m.
Email completed applications to Katie Mercer Van Schoor at kvanschoor@lagrangega.org or drop them off in person in the Marketing/Communications office on the third floor of City Hall, 200 Ridley Avenue. Only 15 citizens will be selected for LaGrange 101. Applicants will be notified if they are chosen by Friday, Sept. 23. To be a part of LaGrange 101, applicants are asked to submit three concerns they want to be addressed in the City of LaGrange. Presenters will incorporate these concerns into their presentations.
