Longtime LaGrange reporter Tommy Murphy has joined The LaGrange Daily News staff.

Murphy, a Troup County native, spent 10 years working as the senior staff writer for the Troup County News. Before joining the TCN, Murphy graduated from Troup County High School in 1999 and attended Georgia Tech.

“I look forward to working with everyone at LaGrange Daily News and continuing to report the news and events of Troup County and our community,” Murphy said.

He will serve as a general assignment reporter for the LDN, where he will cover news and write for the LDN’s bi-monthly magazine, LaGrange Living.

“We’re excited to have Tommy join our team,” said Publisher Daniel Evans. “His knowledge of this community and experience in a newsroom is a welcome addition. He’ll be a familiar face people in LaGrange and Troup County are already comfortable working with.”
