Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It was a tough night for the Callaway softball team as they traveled to Bowdon High School and came back with an 11-1 loss.

The Cavaliers jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead when Kaitlyn Williams scored on an error in the top of the second inning. There was precious little to hold onto after this as the Cavaliers lead slipped away in the bottom of the second with Bowdon taking a 3-1 lead.

Bowdon scored an additional five runs in the third inning and another three in the fourth. The game ended after four and a half innings due to the mercy rule.

Ava Shuford got the only hit in the game for the Cavaliers as she continues her hot start to the season. She was 1-for-2 in the game.

Mya Lawton got the start on the mound for the Cavaliers.

Callaway fell to 2-7 overall. The Cavaliers will play again next Tuesday against McNair.
