The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a pair of crashes that slowed early morning traffic near Kia Thursday morning.

On Sept. 8, Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol responded to two separate crashes on I-85 near Kia Motors (Exit 2).

The preliminary investigation revealed that the first crash was a four-vehicle chain reaction rear-end collision.  A second separate crash, involved a passenger vehicle that rear-ended a tractor-trailer.

Three individuals were transported to local hospitals for undisclosed injuries sustained during the crashes, according to GSP.

Both crashes are still under investigation.
