LaGrange police still looking for suspects in Cedar Street shooting

LaGrange police are still investigating an early morning incident where two people were shot on Cedar Street over the weekend.

Police began investigating the incident around 4:52 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11. after receiving reports of a person who had been shot in the 100 block of Cedar Street in LaGrange.

Officers arrived and located a male and female victim with gunshot wounds. The two were transported to the hospital for further medical care. LaGrange Police Det. Adam Blane said the victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening.

According to the LaGrange Police Department, the preliminary investigation revealed that a party in the area had just come to an end when unknown suspect(s) fired gunshots from the roadway in striking the victims.

Two additional victims were in a vehicle that was struck by gunfire, but they were uninjured, according to an LPD press release.

Blane advised that no suspects have been identified and a motive is yet to be determined.
