On Tuesday, Thrive Studio: Mind, Body and Soul held a ribbon cutting for their newest location on Mooty Bridge Road. According to Selina Dominguez, the founder and CEO of THRIVE Studio, the business has been in LaGrange since 2018 in a few locations before opening in its new home.
“This was always as part of my vision — to be in a house, to be in a place where somebody could feel safe, cozy, a place where they could go for anything wellness,” Dominguez said. “Until you walk in, most don’t realize that it’s more than just a place to get a massage.”
Dominguez created Thrive Studios based on her 20-year dedication to being a servant leader, an advocate and guiding light to those who had lost their voice, health and way in life.
“I have felt, experienced and have worked really hard to find my way back to a healthy mind, body and soul,” she said. “Now, I pride myself on building strong relationships based on vulnerability, trust, truth and love.”
Dominguez said she hopes to in the future to expand Thrive to other local locations like Hogansville and West Point.
“The ribbon-cutting ceremony felt like a celebration of where we had been, where we’re now and the next level of where we’re going,” Dominguez said. “For me, it felt like a celebration and an overall congratulation to Thrive.”
Over the span of a 35-year career, Dominguez has provided thousands of hours of coaching, training, facilitating and consulting to more than 8000 individuals and organizations in the areas of human development, team building, employee engagement, leadership competencies, strategic planning, organizational culture and change management.
“My entire personal and professional career has prepared me for this extraordinary business and life’s purpose: to inspire, educate and guide individuals to their best vision of life,” Dominguez said.
Thrive Studio applies a holistic approach to health & well-being by offering Therapeutic Massages, Reiki — Japanese Energy Healing, Primordial Sound Meditation, Life & Success Coaching, Experiential Training and Consultation sessions.
“When people feel better, and not only from a mental perspective but an emotional perspective, they show up differently,” Dominguez said. “They don’t come in to work grumpy, they don’t go home grumpy, they show up as the best version that they can muster up for that day.”
Dominguez said regarding Thrive’s community impact, the company puts the health, wellness and well-being of an individual first and that individual has the ripple effect on everything and everybody that they touch by showing up with good energy.
“A lot of times when we’re helping others, we get so much more than the person we’re helping,” she said. “We help other businesses, I donate my time and Thrive resources to other businesses that I believe will make an impact on the community. When we band together, we’re so much stronger together than we are alone.”
Thrive Studio: Mind, Body and Soul is located on 911 Mooty Bridge Rd. and is open Monday — Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p. m and closed on Sunday.
