The Troup softball team flexed their might on Thursday as the Tigers bombarded region foe Fayette County 15-0. Troup made quick work of Fayette County who showed little signs of life in the game.

A lot of that was down to the dominance of Faith Horton, who got the start on the mound and limited Fayette County to just two hits on two strikeouts. Horton was explosive offensively as well, going 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Not to be out done, Ramset Clark was outstanding from the plate as she hit an inside the park home run to go along with a 2-for-3 , two RBI, two runs scored statline.

Maggie McDonald and Madeira Sirmons were both 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored to help lead the way for the Tigers’ offense. Shelby Addison was 1-for-1 with a game high three runs scored to go along with a RBI and a walk. Kaleigh Rutland and Chloe Lietchy each had a run scored and an RBI. Haley Cotton each scored two runs for the Tigers.

Troup snapped a two game losing streak as it heads into the final days of the regular season.

Troup improved to 11-7 overall and 7-4 in region play. The Tigers will return to the diamond on Monday as they host Heard County.
