Mr. Wallace C. “Wally” Harris, (88), of Moreland, passed away Fri.  Oct. 7, 2022.

Mr. Harris was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Roanoke, Alabama, son of the late Joseph and Willie Mae Wilder Harris. 

A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he earned a Bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University, was a former resident of LaGrange and Hogansville, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hogansville, where he served as pianist for more than 20 years. 

Mr. Harris loved music and the arts and had been a member of several theater groups.

Survivors include his daughter, Holly and Tim Garland of Moreland; son, Keith Harris of Newnan; grandchildren, Tyler and Kelly Hayes, Todd Hayes, Matthew and Sami Garland, Emily Harris and Paul Young; great-grandchildren, Kyliee, Dawson, Addy, and Willow.

The family is honoring the wishes of Mr. Harris that a memorial service not be conducted.
