Callaway volleyball traveled to Spencer High for its region tournament on thursday and booked their spot in the AA state playoffs with a third place finish.

The Cavaliers vanquished Jordan in two sets before winning a hard fought victory over Spencer in three sets. The Cavaliers fell to Landmark Christian in two sets to finish the tournament 2-1. 

Callaway finished its first regular season plus the region tournament 14-14 in the first season under head coach Shelby Goins.

The Cavaliers will be traveling to take on Central Macon starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the state playoffs.
