Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

At least from our research, this appears to be the first time that all four local schools that play football will host home playoff games in the same weekend.

Whether you’re a Cavalier, Granger, Tiger and Cougar fan, there’s going to be plenty of high-stakes on the gridiron this weekend, and all of the games will be played right here in Troup County.

First off, that speaks volumes to how great the football is in Troup County.

Friday’s LaGrange-Troup game was the perfect end to an unbelievable year. Callaway showed relentless drive and effort to overcome an 0-3 start that might’ve derailed many team’s seasons.

Lafayette Christian has overcome the injury bug to get back to the playoffs.

These teams all deserve huge crowds when they play this week. After all, that’s the importance of working hard to earn a home playoff game.

We encourage you to get out and cheer on our local teams as they all play in win-or-go home postseason games.

We’ll be there covering them all, and we certainly hope to see you there.
