Mary “Teresa” Freeman, (73), of Macon, Georgia, passed away Thurs. Aug. 25, 2022.

Daughter of the late Homer Pressley and Juanita Henson, Mrs. Freeman was born on June 20, 1949, in LaGrange, Georgia. 

She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1967, and then continued her education at West Georgia Tech.

Mrs. Freeman worked at The Mill Store, West Georgia Business Forms,

and Golden State Business Forms. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, in LaGrange, Georgia, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. 

She was the Librarian and fire safety coordinator at Magnolia Manor, which was her home since 2012.

Mrs. Freeman was unwavering in her conservative views and was happy to share her opinion on any political matter. 

She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, GO DAWGS!

She loved watching the Hummingbirds which brought her lots of joy, and she even had a secret nectar recipe for them. 

Mrs. Freeman loved her grandsons dearly and has been known to say that if she could have skipped her children and went straight to grandchildren, she would have.

Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Bailey; and brothers, James “Jimmy” Pressley, Randy Pressley, Buster Pressley, and Romey Henson.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her daughters, Karen Freeman Spencer, of Macon, Georgia, and Brooke Freeman Ramos (Robert), of Rio Nido, California; grandsons, Ethan Colburn, of Rio Nido, California, and Levi McCaffrey, of Cookeville, Tennessee; brothers, Homer Pressley (Donna), of Huntsville, Alabama, and Ira Pressey (Andrea), of Bluffton, South Carolina; sister, Tracie McCaffrey (Pat) of Cookeville, Tennessee; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and many generations to follow.

The family will receive friends on Sat. Nov. 19, 2022, from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at Hilyer Baptist Church, located at 88 Lower Big Springs Road.
