Troup girls basketball host Northgate for scrimmage

The Troup girls basketball team took another step closer to the regular season on Tuesday night when the Tigers hosted Northgate for a scrimmage. The Tigers dropped the game 37-31 as they had some girls battling through injuries.
The game was tied at 17 heading into the break and remained even at 28 heading into the fourth quarter. The Tigers could only manage three points in the fourth.
Alexia Murphy picked up right where she left off last season and scored a team high 16 points. Jaz Williams had seven points. Nasha Daniels had five points and Autumn Bulloch had three points to round out the scoring for the Tigers.
Troup tips off its season on Thursday when Greenville comes to town.
