LaGrange College Musical Theatre will present “Holly Jolly Joyful Jingles” at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, through Saturday, Dec. 3, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Beason Recital Hall at West Side.

“We want to celebrate the things people love about Christmas,” said Tim Fitz-Gerald, Director and Choreographer. “The show features Christmas standards that everyone will recognize as well as various songs and numbers from Christmas-themed Broadway shows.”

The production will feature 13 students from various majors including Theatre Arts, Musical Theatre, Music, History and Nursing.

“Everybody gets their moment to shine and show off their talents,” said freshman Aubrey Helton. “It is going to be a magical experience.”

Freshman Aria Mabry, who performs a song with Helton, said this show has given her the opportunity to try something new. They are singing the duet “There is a Santa Claus” from the musical “Elf.”

“This production has upbeat numbers and ballads,” said freshman Isabella Rapoza. “There is something for everyone.”

Senior Erika Hill said she looks forward to the rehearsals because of the joyful enthusiasm of her fellow cast members.

“Singing through Christmas songs with my fellow performers has been really fun, and I am certain the energy of the show will be infectious,” she said.

A Broadway veteran, Fitz-Gerald used his experience to inspire his staging and choreography.

“When I choreograph, I always think about how to tell each story through movement,” he said.

He says it has been fulfilling to collaborate with his students in creating a holiday experience the entire community can enjoy.

Admission is free with general seating. No reservations are necessary.
