The LaGrange girls basketball team got back in the win column on Saturday with a 49-37 win over Ola. The Grangers are gathering some momentum and have now won two of their last three games.
The first half was competitive enough before the Grangers took over and controlled the game down the stretch. LaGrange led 14-7 after the first quarter, but took a six point lead into the halftime break.
Corriah Williams exploded for seven of her 13 points in the third quarter to give the Grangers some separation.
Peyton Swint has gotten off to a hot start this season and continued her good form by scoring a game high 15 points, including six to close out the game in the fourth quarter. Brittney Heard also chipped in with 12 points to help lead the offensive charge.
LaGrange improved to 2-5 on the season. The Grangers will host Heard County next Tuesday.
