Keturah Kate Thornton Clark passed away Tuesday.

She was born Aug. 5, 1963, to the late Willie Frank Thornton Jr. and Shirley Ann Thornton.

At an early age, she joined St. Paul Baptist Church and began to serve the Lord.  

Later in life, she joined Faith Believers Ministries of LaGrange, Georgia; where she received her Ministerial License, Word of Grace Christian Center LaGrange, and lastly served at Change Nation Global Network.

Keturah graduated from LaGrange High School in 1981 and continued her education by attending West Georgia Technical College and Point University.  She also served her county and was a veteran of the United States Army.

She started her career journey at Wal-Mart for sixteen years, later she worked as a correction officer for Troup County Jail. 

Before she was diagnosed with Lupus, she worked at Whitesville Road Elementary in LaGrange.

Survivors include her daughters:  Ashlei Clark and Andrea Clark; three grandchildren; her brother, Pless (Kim) Thornton; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces; a special bond created between she and her uncle, Leon and aunt, Gloria Thornton of LaGrange, Georgia; and aunt, Lois Reese of Greenville, Georgia.

The service will be Monday at noon at Word of Grace Christian Center.

The excellent care of Ms. Clark is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
