There are 5,900 Diverse Power customers without power in Troup County, according to the outages map on the company’s website.

That’s a total of 34.7% of total customers in the county, per the website.

There are also 295 total customers without power in Chambers County.

Katie Van Schoor with the city of LaGrange estimated that 1,000 residents were without power earlier, plus several more industry customers. Van Schoor said they are hoping power can be restored by tomorrow.
