LaGrange boys win big on home floor

LaGrange used a second quarter surge to pull away from Starr’s Mill in a 76-47 region victory on Friday night.
The Grangers were a bit sluggish in the first quarter before completely taking over in the second quarter with 29 points in the quarter. Isiah Green exploded in the second quarter, hitting three 3-pointers to go along with a basket from inside the 3-point line to lead the charge for the Grangers.
Green connected on an additional two 3-pointers in the third quarter to finish with a game-high 17 points.
The second half was more Granger domination with the game decided long before the final buzzer rang through the LaGrange gymnasium.
A whole host of Grangers got in on the action with 10 players getting in the scoring column. BJ Wortham and Jaq Hurston finished second on the team with 10 points each.
LaGrange improved to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in region play. The Grangers sit third in region 4-4A and will be back in action against the fourth placed team in the region, Riverdale, on Saturday on the road.
