A LaGrange man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing and killing his wife, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.

Timothy Mobley, 37, has been charged with the murder of his wife, 24-year-old Miranda Mobley, and taken to the Troup County Jail.

The LaGrange Police Department initially responded to the 300 block of Lukken Industrial Drive Friday in reference to a traffic crash.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with several witnesses as well as the drivers involved. Timothy Mobley, the operator of one of the vehicles in the crash, told police that he had just stabbed his wife and that she was at their home located at 910 Troup Street.

LPD immediately detained Timothy Mobley and officers responded to 910 Troup Street to check on the status of the victim. Once officers were on scene, they located Miranda Mobley, who was deceased with multiple stab wounds.
