The Lafayette Christian boys basketball team dominated Rock Springs 77-37 on their home floor on Tuesday.

The Cougars were able to cruise to a victory by starting off the game on the right foot, outsourcing Rock Springs 18-7 in the first quarter. Lafayette Christian poured it on from there and never let up until the final buzzer.

Bruno Tellez was sensational, registering a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds while also chipping in with four steals and two assists. Joshua Zapata scored 16 points while Adam Saylor scored 10 to help lead the way for the Cougars.

Keaton Murphy was everywhere on the defensive end of Lafayette Christian. He finished with a team high 12 rebounds and six steals while adding eight points and two assists on the offensive side.

The Cougar defense was equally impressive, allowing just single digit points in three of the four quarters on the night.

Lafayette Christian improved to 9-1 overall and remain 2-0 in region play. The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday when they host Community Christian.
