LaGrange eases past North Clayton

LaGrange boys basketball brushed aside North Clayton on Friday to earn a 67-55 region victory. 

The Grangers used a complete team effort to get the win with eight total Grangers scoring in the game. 

Jaq Hurston led the way for the Granger offense, connecting on four 3-pointers en route to 16 points. Devin Dowell kept up his recent hot streak by scoring 12 points — 10 of them came in the second half. J’Arthur Dunn scored 11 points and Keleb Salter had 10 to round out the LaGrange players in double figures. 

The Granger offense scored 13 points in the first quarter before really getting rolling in the second quarter with 19 points. 

LaGrange improved to 15-3 overall and 6-1 in region play. The Grangers sit second in region 4-4A. LaGrange will be back on the court Saturday against Trinity Christian on the road.
