Funeral services for Jimmy Gilham, (79), of Rock Mills will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Rock Mills Methodist Church with Bro. Mike Brewer and Marcie McCarley officiating.  

Burial will follow at Rock Mills Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 P.M. on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023.

Mr. Gilham passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at his home.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carol Davis Gilham of Rock Mills; two daughters, Dawn Jackson (Randy) of Tuscaloosa and Kim Prescott (Darren) of Roanoke; one son, Robby Gilham (Delaine) of Five Points; nine grandchildren, Craig Jackson (Dianna), Ryan Jackson, Heather Jackson, Hannah Jackson, Sertira McNair, Courtney Gilham, Trae Gilham, Blake Prescott (Angela), and Brittany Spradlin (Raymond); 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, June Burke (Gerry) of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Robby Gilham, Darren Prescott, Raymond Spradlin, Blake Prescott, Mike Burks, and Connor Fisher.  

Randy Jackson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Gilham was born on March 7, 1943, the son of Robert Sanford and Jeanette Towler Gilham.  He was a member of Rock Mills Methodist Church and worked as a Manager for Milliken and Co before retiring.  

Mr. Gilham was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe Bob Gilham.
