Callaway got off to a slow against Elite Scholars Academy on Friday but quickly turned it around to cruise to a 64-40 win on the road.

The Cavaliers offense stalled early, only scoring six points in the first quarter, which saw Callaway fall into a three-point deficit heading into the second quarter. The Cavalier offense led by the trio of Tyrus Edwards, DeShun Coleman and Bryceton Sanders outscored the Royal Knights 21-8 in the second quarter to take a double figure lead into the halftime break.

The Royal Knights were able to stay in the game in the third quarter and only trailed by nine heading to the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the Cavaliers took complete control of the game and closed it out in style.

Edwards was outstanding all night and led all scorers with 17 points. Coleman continues to be the leader for the team and finished the game with 14 points. Korey Jackson and Sanders each scored seven points. Jayden Edwards and Treyonn Tucker Each scored four points apiece.

Callaway is starting to gather some momentum and has rattled off four straight wins to improve to 10-7 overall and 9-3 in region play. The Cavaliers will play a non-region game on the road against Newnan on Saturday.
