The LaGrange girls cleaned out Whitewater on the road on Friday as they cruised to a 47-20 region victory.
The Grangers put the hammer down early and took a commanding 17-0 lead after the first quarter. LaGrange controlled the game from there and took a 26-5 lead into halftime. Not much changed in the second half with the Grangers remaining in complete control of the game.
Corriah Williams went crazy from deep, connecting on seven 3-pointers en route to a game-high 25 points. She hit three of those 3-pointers in the first quarter as she set the tone for the entire game with her ability from deep.
Nina Brooks was second on the team with eight points — all in the first half. Brittney Heard was unusually quiet with just four points while Ta’Niya Taylor also finished with four points in the game.
LaGrange came into the game in a funk, having lost its last seven games. The Grangers were able to exorcize those demons on Friday with a dominant road victory to improve to 6-14 overall and 3-7 in region play. LaGrange will playing against a tough Fayette County team on Tuesday.
