Troup fell to Whitewater 71-55 at home on Tuesday in a region clash.

The first half proved to be extremely competitive with the Tigers trailing by six points after the opening quarter but were able to cut the deficit down to just four points heading into halftime.

The Tigers could not cut into the lead in the third quarter but only trailed by seven heading into the fourth quarter. Troup could not pull off a rally as the Wildcats closed out the game by outscoring the Tigers 21-12 in the fourth quarter.

Dee Moreland was one of only two players to score in double figures in the game for Troup and finished with 15 points and connected on three 3-pointers in the process. The other double figure scorer for the Tigers was Jalen Brown who finished with 13 points. Desmon Cunningham and Deo’Vion Tucker each scored seven points apiece to help lead the way for the Tiger attack.

Troup fell to 9-12 overall and 2-8 in region play. The Tigers will be back in action on Friday on the road to Riverdale.
