Mrs. Sharon Denise Dozier Duffie passed away Saturday at WellStar WGMC.
She was born Nov. 1970, in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Mary Helen Dozier and William “Dock” Black.
She graduated from LaGrange High School, Class of 1989. She went on to attend Fort Valley State University.
Sharon was reared and guided by Christ at a young age at Warren Temple United Methodist Church; and later The New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Greenville.
She was previously employed by TLC Learning Center, CAFI-HeadStart, Pathways Behavioral Center and The Center for Creative Growth and Human Development.
Survivors include her husband, Cornelius Duffie; daughter, Nigeria Z. Dozier; siblings: Gwendolyn, Tony, Ricky (Denessera), Debra, and Frank; eleven nieces and nephews, fifteen great nieces and nephews, one god/grandson, Elijah Jones; three godchildren: Iyanna Grogan, Corshaud and Ramon Potts; four special friends: Latoya Griggs, Aisha Hanner, James and Maricia Akins.
The service will be Saturday at 1 P.M. at New Springfield Baptist Church.
The excellent care of Mrs. Duffie is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
