The LaGrange Academy girls basketball team earned a massive 62-6 win over Harvester Christian on Friday evening.
Anna Beth Kinnersley set the tone for the Warriors in the first quarter, scoring a whopping 17 of her 21 points in the opening eight minutes of play. Harvester had no answer for her as she completely controlled the post and paint area.
By the end of the first quarter, the Warriors lead was 26-3, which ballooned up to 39-3 at halftime as the Warriors absolutely ran Harvester out of the building.
Kinnersley was not the only Warrior who dominated, Jazmin Thornton was everywhere and finished with a game-high 25 points, offering a steady offensive presence for the Warriors all night.
Kayle McBride was third on the team with six points.
Defense has been the Warriors calling card this season and limited a team to single-digit scoring for the fifth time this year. None of the Warriors wins have been by less than 10 points this season.
LaGrange Academy wraps up the regular season with a 17-1 record overall and 4-0 region record. The Warriors will host the region tournament next week.
