Steve Brooks, 64, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023.

Steve was born Dec. 4, 1958, in LaGrange, Georgia, son of the late James Patrick Brooks and Betty Jane Hilton Brooks. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Daniela Rose Short Brooks.

Steve was a lifelong resident of LaGrange, Georgia and was the owner of Steve Brooks Landscaping and Irrigation for over forty years.

Survivors include his children, Stephanie Brooks (Adam Seiz) and Melissa Ruiz (Jose Ruiz); grandchildren, Jose Ruiz and Sydney Ruiz; sister, Susan Allen; brother, Gary Brooks (Elizabeth); nephews, Chris Allen (Betsy) and John Patrick Allen (Crystal); several great nieces and great nephews; and numerous extended family members.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, Georgia with the Rev. Joel Chapman officiating. 

The reception will be in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Event Room following the service.
