Man shot on Auburn Avenue after verbal altercation turns physical

A man was shot on Auburn Avenue Sunday after a verbal altercation turned physical, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.
The victim was shot in his left thigh, which was not considered a life-threatening injury. The suspect, Antonio Dunlap, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
LPD officers initially responded to Wellstar West Georgia at approximately noon in reference to a subject that had been shot. They met with the victim, who said the incident happened around 11 a.m.
